Be a Volunteer

Dallas Regional Medical Center's volunteers make a positive contribution to the care and caring of our patients, their family members, and hospital staff.  Our volunteer services group serves the hospital in the following ways:

  • Providing Support for the Patient - Our volunteers offer emotional and social support by providing a friendly face and someone to talk with.  Our patients are always happy to visit with the volunteers.
  • Assisting Visitors - Our volunteers assist visitors with locating and finding patients, providing directions, visiting hours and other information.  In many instances, these volunteers are usually the first person a visitor sees when they enter the hospital.
  • Providing Administrative Support - Our volunteers provide clerical and administrative aid to our staff in both clinical and non-clinical areas.  These tasks include filing, copying, delivering mail and meals, computer data entry, typing, telephone assistance, and manning reception areas.
  • Assisting with Special Projects - Our volunteers who have special interests or skills are able to assist patients and staff in various tasks and responsibilities.

Dallas Regional Medical Center encourages you to give volunteering a try; you will prosper as will the patient and our staff, and most certainly you will feel fulfilled by giving back to the community.  For more information and an application, call 214-320-7086.
