Is there an ATM machine in the building?

An automated teller machine is located on the first floor in the Emergency Department Lobby.

What kind of Food Services does DRMC provide?

The hospital offers a café and vending area. DRMC visitors are welcome to dine in the hospital's café, located on the first floor next to the South Tower Elevators. Featured are hot meals, soups, salad and deli bar, grill to order items, desserts, snack items and hot and cold beverages. The hours are: Breakfast 6:30am – 9:30am Lunch 11:00am – 2:00pm

Does DRMC have any vending areas?

There are two vending areas available at DRMC. The first one is located in the back side of the North Tower. The second, smaller area is located on the first floor in front of the doors facing Galloway, near the ECHO/EEG department. Selections include snack foods, as well as hot and cold beverages.

Does DRMC offer any spiritual care or services?

DRMC has a full-time chaplain. He is available to provide supportive spiritual care to patients of all faiths including those with no religious preference. When you desire emotional and spiritual support and a listening ear, please let your nurse know so he/she may contact him. We also have chaplains on-call nights and weekends, just ask your nurse to page the on-call chaplain.

Does DRMC provide notary service?

The hospital has a notary public available form 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. If you need notary service, please ask your nurse to call our administration or the human resources office.

Will being an organ donor affect my medical care?

Being an organ donor will not affect the care you receive. If you are injured or ill and are taken to a hospital emergency room, you will receive the best possible care whether or not you are an organ donor. Donation procedures begin only after all efforts to save your life have failed and death has been declared.

Who pays for the added expense?

There are no extra expenses for the family donating organs and tissues. State and federal funds pay all costs related to organ and tissue donation.

Will organ donation disfigure my body?

No. Organ and tissue donation does not change the way the body looks in the casket for the memorial service. For more information about deciding whether or not you would like to donate your tissues and/or organs after death, call Southwestern Transplant at (214) 522-0255.

I was born at Dallas Regional Medical Center (formerly known as Medical Center of Mesquite and Mesquite Community Hospital). How do I obtain a copy of my birth certificate?

You may request your birth certificate from the town or city in which you lived when you were born. Or, you may request your birth certificate from the town or city where the hospital in which you were born was located.

How do I request a copy of my medical records?

How do I schedule a mammogram?

Please call our One-Call Scheduling department at (214) 320-7776 to request an appointment for a mammogram. You will need to provide information including your name, date of birth, phone number, address, and the name of the physician to whom we should send the report. If you have had films taken previously, you will be asked to bring those to your appointment.

Where is Admitting?

The main Admitting Department is located next to the Emergency Department. If you coming in for an EEG, ECHO, PFT or a radiology study (x-ray, CT, MRI, etc), please come directly to the radiology department and we will process your admitting paperwork there.

What are the visiting hours?

Visiting hours are 8am-9pm, 7 days per week. Please note that visiting hours may vary in the Intensive Care Units and also based each patient’s condition.
