Performs a variety of imaging procedures for the hospital, including surgery and emergency departments. Responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Must be able to take call on rotating basis. Must have basic knowledge of PACS and radiology systems. Participates in CQI activities.
Regulatory Requirements: High School graduate; BS degree preferred. Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiological Technology, either college affiliated or hospital trained. Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists. Certified by the State of Texas to practice and administer radiation. Current BCLS certification. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience at a hospital facility, including surgery and emergency department. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
Language Skills: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
Skills: Basic computer knowledge.
